Hugo is a humble, self-taught artist from Villa el Salvador, a sprawling shantytown built into the sand dunes of Lima. Holding the distinction as Woven Journeys’ first Legacy Art teacher, Hugo is currently in his third year of teaching art in our partner elementary outside Lima, Peru. He is also attending an art university in pursuit of a full-time careeer in art.  Read more

Created by an American and a Tanzanian, and built outside Arusha in the heart of Maasai land, The Orkeeswa Secondary School is our primary service partner in Tanzania. Our service trips allow our travelers to work alongside the Maasai students to paint murals, build bookcases, plant gardens, and improve the facilities of the region's primary schools.   Read more
